The Sahara Las Vegas Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. is among the first hotels on The Strip and is located two miles from the Las Vegas Convention Center, downtown, and the Fremont Street Experience. McCarran International Airport is five miles away, and busses, private trolleys and the Las Vegas Monorail are available for trips around the city; fees apply.
Hotel Features. The legendary House of Lords offers steaks and seafood in a baroque environment with frescoes and jeweled lighting, while the all you can eat Sahara Buffet hosts champagne brunches on weekends. Paco's Bar & Grill boasts seafood and Mexican fare and the NASCAR Caf� features chicken, ribs, steaks and burgers. Business friendly amenities include Internet access and a business center, fees apply. Popular among families, this property hosts Speed, a 70 mph roller coaster. The Destination Spa Salon offers Oxygen Facials, Shea Butter Scrubs with Aromatherapy and Paraffin Body Wraps. Low minimum blackjack tables are included in the 80,000 square foot casino, and for recreation, a Moroccan themed pool and cabana, designed to resemble a Saharan oasis, are featured.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms in the Tangiers Tower host jewel toned fabrics in amethyst, garnet and mauve; almond walls; and light wood furnishings. One bedroom suites offer rosewood hued reproduction furniture and d�cor in saffron and warm cerise. Amenities include make up areas with mirrors and desks, cable television and wireless Internet access for a fee. Select rooms features separate sitting areas, dining bars and views of the Strip.
Expert Tip. Miniature versions of real stock and Indy cars race around a simulated track in the 35,000 square foot Las Vegas Cyber Speedway adjacent to NASCAR Caf�. A 20 foot wraparound screen provides realistic sights and sounds.
